Dema Kazkaz

Dema Kazkaz is a Syrian-American activist and interfaith leader. She is currently the first female president of Masjid Al Noor Islamic Center of Iowa. Mrs. Kazkaz received her Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of Northern Iowa. In 2016, she completed her MA in Islamic Studies and Christian-Muslim Relations at Hartford Seminary, Connecticut. Taught World Religions classes at a community colleges level.
Mrs. Kazkaz lectures and is a frequent educational panelist for Interfaith and Islamic projects at colleges, universities, and places of worship. She has served on the board of the Cedar Valley Interfaith Council of Iowa, and was the recipient of the Courier’s “20 Under 40” award, highlighting the top 20 community leaders under the age of 40 for 2017 in Iowa.
